Should I...?

You know you've gotten into the humdrum of corporate work, when you type an email to friends, and you hesitate like forever before clicking 'send', thinking and considering if it was typed appropriately or inappropriately, if it should be sent or not, if it was proper or improper, if some things should be rephrased (and you rephrased them), if you should ask someone first, if ... ...

Yeah.

FFT: Are formalities biblical?

One thing's for sure, they're a huge pain in the a-, er, backside.

hey i know what you mean. but it's not necessarily a bad thing. for one, i learned to communicate better via emails and explain myself more clearly when face-to-face communication is not possible.

well biblical or not, im not sure. but here's one thing to consider... are we doing it because we fear man, or we fear God, and we want to love people and want to serve them better?

do we fear looking foolish or doing something wrong and suffering the consequences?

or do we want to help people understand what's going on and help them do their work better, do we want to practice gentleness and patience when we write to them...

but yeah sometimes i wish i can rattle off in broken english and rambling thoughts in both work and personal emails... and i do! esp when that colleague is you! hahahhaha.

Dear Ho ho mo mo,

My dear friend, it is good training to write your emails properly whether it be for work or personal. It is a good habit trust me, and where better to master and train your skill then at work.

But if thats making you hesitate to write to me, then don't worry, it doesnt bother me. Just send the emails through, they don't have to be perfect. No one said they needed to be. So dont worry.

Haha! Is that why I haven't been hearing from you?

Hope not.

Well take care...

Love,

Hazel :)
