woohoo!! A week of hall orientation over. MOst fun camp ever. most exciting. i guess that's cuz it's a university camp. extremely glad my hall is indeed a more-than-averagely-exciting hall. oh yeah.

Four teams. Athena, Hephaistos, Artemis and Hermis. All gods or goddesses of something. My OG was Hephaistos. Of fire, I think. Supposed to be the most evil of the lot, or the only evil one. But I feel we were the most play-fair team of all. Athena was our sister group. We had fun sister cheers, hehe..

Mon - meet up, ice breaking, learning of cheers (and jeers). Campus race for the whole afternoon.
The opening ceremony. And learning of mass dance. the song is "we go together" from Grease.
'Initiation' at night, til 3am plus. THAT was fun. I guess there was the fear factor cuz we were blindfolded throughout, for like 4-5hrs. But it was extremely thrilling too.

Tues - Head off to Big Splash, water games. Later part of afternoon, preparation for Food Fiesta, dinner.

Wednesday - Speed-dating, Joint Hall event, some Guinness World Records thing.
Then our hall games, Telematch. in which I ended up with shampoo in my left eye and shampoo and flour in my mouth. yuck. I was kinda unable to use my left eye for some time that day. ouch.
At night was a little bit of mass dance and then Night Walk. They blindfolded us on the bus. We were with our 'selected' dance partners. We were un-blindfolded only at the beginning of the walk. Had to follow the glowing little sticks on the path. There would be black-cloth-covered leaders scaring us. Well, I guess I knew that well enough so I really wasn't scared. only for my partner. He was pretty shaky. Had to drag him through everything, saying No worries, they are just human. Please watch the steps, don't fall.. gee. He kept asking me why I didnt scream. When it was over, I actually felt quite bad, for being unafraid, cuz I guess the leaders put in the effort to suffocate under the black cloths, and laugh evily, and chase us. Oh well. Anyways lucky me, that we were chosen early, though I felt I waited for a very long time. I was in the first bus back. The third and last bus of people to leave, that was about 4-5am.

Thursday - Speedy race!! which included playing Paintball. Freaky!! First time. The gun was heavy, to me. And we had to put on stuff too, and a mask. Got shot once, dead. And then decided to stay in the 'hut' for the rest of the game. haha. We won overall anyways.
That night was SP night. Secret Pal. We had paired names. Like Har Gao and Siew Mai. Pepperoni and Pizza. I was spaghetti, and my Pal was Meatball. Well, since there were more girl freshies than guy freshies, they had guy seniors to stand in. So me and my friend had seniors. WaHAha.. good because that means we were definitely well taken care of. HAha.. My Pal was the vice chair for the comm anyways so.. wahaha.

Friday - Record breaking games. where we broke almost all the records. Thank you very much.
Senior vs Junior games. They won 2 to 1. But at least we won something. :)
Prepare for performance for closing ceremony that night. We prepared a little skit.
Closing ceremony. The stuff the leaders performed were amazingly funny. excellent.
And then, our own OG stuff. They gave us CDs which contained a flash presentation they made. We went out for supper, walked out of NTU to a 24hr coffeeshop.

Anyways we won BEST OG. although it was obvious to have every OG win something each, we DID get the high score for the games. Oh yeah.. We had extremely entertaining leaders. ESP Jarren. simply full of crap, we'd say. but always laughter around him. And Kenneth and Daniel (Dong), Ailing, Xiu Juan, Genevieve (Genini).. Daniel can make really cool fluid moves, hence very entertaining when he does cheers. haha. and esp for the skit they presented.

until now I have not seen my roommate. might see her tomorrow then. School's starting. jittery.
