We have more problems with the costumes of the minor characters, then ANY of the major characters in the short Christmas musical. SHEESH! Santa's outfit, and footman (!!!). Yeah, footman. It has caused me to actually google on it. All these for a.. what, 10 seconds (reference: alan's blog, [Alan's the footman]) appearance? Ha, but Alan, I'm proud of you for being so dedicated to the minor role we gave you. THANK YOU!
Yes, so anyway, today was the day I went out and ran around doing stuff, so that by the end of the day, I should have some self-satisfaction. I had my share of it-just-had-to-happen-now-and-not-another-time kind of moment. or moments. When I left my house, it was really hot. When I reached, it started to rain, and I had to escape to the nearby The Concourse. Actually, that wasn't so bad because I found some stuff there as well. But I was a little drenched, and my Teva slippers were definitely soaked. So after some time, the rain stopped, so I headed out to the costume shop. The place is cool, but the rent's HUMONGOUS. I had to make some calls, and the important one just couldn't get through. So I'd have to put it off for awhile. I stepped out of the shop, and lo and behold, it was raining! ... What to do but walk in the rain. I like rain, it's cool, but perhaps not today when I'm out there soaking it all, and have other places to go. And then the busstop for 107 was not REALLY a bus stop. There was the bus stop sign, yes, but there was no usual seats and shelter. It was just a sign. And it was raining. Conveniently, there was a small stretch of perhaps 40cm wide metal board, about 2 to 3metres above our heads, that provided some shelter. It was a moderate rainfall, no wind, so I could seek shelter underneath it. Still, it was a rather pathetic sight. I thought it'd be rather interesting if someone snapped a shot of us 'stranded' would-be commuters.
So I managed to get the things I need. I've been out alone countless of times. But today, I felt like it might have been perfect if I knew how to drive, and had a car. Might have been, cuz with a car, I'd have to worry about running people over, bumping other vehicles, and parking space. I think it was because the costume shop is not situated along the main road, and can only be reached by foot, for one without a car. And maybe because I wasn't going to be at one place, but I was going to go different places.
And I survived Tweens Discovery Camp too. Having taken care of 4-5 kids for 9 hrs/day for two days. Phew. They weren't the best of kids, but I think I was very blessed. And Zenn's super cute! She is SO sweet. And you won't know how touched I was, how surprised, when on the way to the bus on the first day, she asked me, "Can I sit with you?" WOAH. Of course, please have me sit beside you! I'd have thought kids would want to be as far from me as possible. She's a good girl. :) But I'll be patient, I'll wait for the photo that was taken with her, to come... TE, I know your comp's still in laptophospital, but I'll wait. Haha. If the picture's lost, though, I might kill you. =)
