Valentine's Day 2005

my valentine's day was spent with friends. in the afternoon, i watched Constantine (again) with Pamela. After we sat down and waited for the movie to start, we noticed almost only couples around us. Haha I was starting to wonder if it was better or worse to stay at home on Vday alone or head out with other pals who are single. Because on Vday, you really almost see ONLY couples on the street. maybe it's just more obvious on Vday because the lady will have a bouquet of flowers and the like in her hands. And because I seem appalled at the sight this year (and I dont remember how i spent most of the previous Vdays), I dont think I have ever been out on Vday, even with friends. Last year, it was in church. Previous years were perhaps friendship gift exchange between friends in school and then head home.

Well anyway, after the movie, we walked around a little and then Pam left for work. Later I met Shu, and even later Ru. but first, with Shu, I had the most peculiar day of my life. It was as if we were not meant to eat. We walked around Suntec and Millenia Walk looking for a nice place to eat. Many places were just too crowded with long queues. So first we went into this noodle place. Then discovered we didnt like the ambience. so we walked out and headed to The Coffee Connoisseur at Millenia Walk. and it appears they only served a Vday set meal for two. We were suggested otherwise to check out the snacks. So we walked off again. and Finally, we settled at the Silkroad noodle shop. FInally. and then Ru came and we chatted. LAter we also had dessert at Gelare in Suntec. It was a great night.
